Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole's League Meet will coincide with the Ninth annual Aerofest at the Jackson Hole Ski area. June can be the best time of year for long cross country flights and great evening glass offs. You need to be a P3 to fly the ski area. There will be a bbq, retrieves, coaching on xc techniques by J-holes best, and beer. Also, there will be aerial exhibitions by Ozone team pilots and base jumpers. Fun for the whole family. June 19, 20, and 21st. Come celebrate the Solstice in the Hole.

Salt Lake City

The site will be either Jupiter, at the top of Park City, or Inspo, where the US Nationals will be held the following month. July can be great xc flying at Inspo, with the potential to go over the back toward Wyoming or the Uintas on the right day.

Thursday, July 9 will be a practice day at Inspo.

Race days will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 10 - 12.

Pilot check-in and meeting will be Friday morning, 9:30 am to 11 am, at Point of the Mountain North Side Park and Ride. Take I-15 exit 288, directly west of the Point North Side. The Park and Ride is just west of the I-15 exit ramp. We will head down to the Inspo LZ (about 45 minutes) at 11 am, then directly up to launch. On Saturday and Sunday there will be a brief meeting at 11 am at the Park and Ride to look at the sky.

Pilot meeting for the task call will be at 1 pm daily on launch.

Montana

The Montana League Meet will be held at Ellis Peak, near Dillon, MT. Ellis Peak has
been flown by hang glider pilots for many years, and more recently paraglider pilots.
Many 100+ mile flights under hang gliders have been flown from this site, more than any
other site in Montana. It is a great “connecting dot” between a King Mt. or even Sun
Valley flight or vol bivouac into Montana. It is approximately 230 road miles from
Jackson, WY and about 300 miles from Sun Valley, ID.

Location in Google Earth: 44°44'54.67"N, 112°59'58.33"W

It is big mountain flying, with very few towns or restaurants nearby. Bring your tent, lots
of beer, and some food. Charge your batteries and cell phones before you come, and
bring your SPOT. Dillon, MT is about 35 miles of dirt and paved roads away. This is
going to be sick.

Clark Canyon Reservoir (Meeting location): 44°59'52.79"N, 112°51'22.85"W

Pine Mountain

This meet coincides with the Pine Mountain Fly-in, which is labor day weekend, and we have a huge party out in the desert. Pine Mountain is located 30 minutes east of Bend on Hwy 20, search maps.google.com for Millican, Oregon, and turn south on NFD 2017, sign says Pine Mountain Observatory.

Sun Valley

Take-off is at 9000' from the top of the Bald Mountain ski area, access to launch will be via the chair lift allowing multiple flights per day. Details: Pilots will be required to have a P-3 rating and be excited about dealing with probable turbulence, this is desert mountain flying, altitudes of 18,000' and above are common at this time of year, bring warm clothes and O2 if you have it. Although the flying is very consistent at this time of year, if it is not good you are stuck in a resort town with hiking, Mt. biking, fishing, ice skating, and many other options, so bring your whole family, it will be AWESOME!!

Owens Valley

You know where it is. Come and see who wins in the ultimate league off: NCXC, vs SOCAL, vs IML. Be there or miss out on the ultimate team challenge....
